I’m already reading this masterpiece for the second time. It has struck a chord deeply within me.
Mike's simple life philosophy is that
‘Thoughts become things and words give you wings’.
He’s from the school of enlightened ones whom acknowledge that everything you say is an affirmation, be it good or bad. I like his thinking. It's slightly esoteric when he ventures off into the realms of manipulating dreamscapes and the similarities between real life and dreams, but what a beautiful, fresh perspective eh?!
His fundamental teachings are that there are 3 steps to successfully playing the matrix, this lil ‘ole game of life, which enable us to seize it with both hands for our own maximum enjoyment and contribution.
Step 1. Choose a general end result. Not too specific, just vaguely in the realms of where you want to go, with a concentration on the emotion this goal will bring. What emotional destination do you want?
Step 2. Get into the details, but don’t attach to them. By all means fantasise specifically eg I will be wearing this when I receive my award for x at x venue on x date but never obsess and attach to these details. They don’t matter. It’s the general end result, the very broad aura of woo hoo it feels amazing to have helped so many people this way or whatever your personal goal is.
Step 3. Get into action. Yep, just start. Get cracking day by day, inch by inch, teeny tiny little step at a time until you look back and realise you leaped. The philosophy here is that physically shifting into action aligns you more acutely with your purpose, raises your positive vibrations thus attracting more miracles/people/opportunities to you and ultimately moves you closer to your goal.
Mike is a positive soul who has risen the ranks of Hay House authors by unwavering positive faith in his concepts. He’s infectiously upbeat, instructive, logical, motivating and I feel comforted knowing he’s out there.
I particularly love his conclusion around happiness. He states that there are only two conditions of the human experience - Very Happy or About To Become Very Happy. He teaches that Happiness does not mean you have settled for less it simply means you are ready for more. This, I like.
The Official Book blurb for Playing The Matrix by Mike Dooley
Playing the Matrix is a master class for creating the life you want to live. Tried and true, delivered and perfected over a decade while being shared live with tens of thousands of students in 132 cities, in 34 countries, upon six continents.
New Thought leader and New York Times best-selling author Mike Dooley brings to bear his advanced course on living deliberately and creating consciously. The concepts Mike shares here make up his most impactful, most transformational program ever. For the first time, these complete ideas are available in audiobook form.
At the heart of the Matrix lies a simple yet highly unexpected concept for creating major life change, unlike anything shared by other teachers, past or present. It clearly reveals why "manifesting" sometimes works with incredible ease, why it sometimes doesn't work at all, and why, on occasion, it works and yet in hindsight we wish it hadn't. You'll not only learn about the "Bermuda Triangle of manifesting" that too often leads to heartbreak and loss, you'll discover how to navigate around it, under full sail, with new "aha!" moments as you come to understand:
- How to achieve clarity in purpose and desire
- How to avoid contradictions and self-sabotage
- How to fuel your dreams with passion while not attaching to unimportant details and outcomes
- How to plan and take action on your dreams without messing with the "cursed hows"
- And so much more
Playing the Matrix lays out the actual physical and metaphysical mechanics of manifestation, including your role in the equation of reality creation, so that you can deliberately orchestrate the changes you most wish to see. Once you begin working with the Universe instead of unwittingly working against it, you will truly astound yourself.PURCHASE ON AMAZON
